Girls Mentor Girls, Inc. is a Bronx-based non-profit 501c3 organization founded by Michelle Jervis-White. Our mission is to empower female identifying BIPOC youth through peer mentoring, exercising social skills and building sisterhood with each other in a confidential, judgement-free environment. We host meetings and events, as well as offer resources to nurture and support the members of our community. In our meetings, GMG provides a safe space for young ladies to share life experiences at their own pace and exercise commitment, social skills, and self-awareness while being respectful, encouraging, and validating with one another. Events to participate in include exposure to sisterhood, healthy lifestyles, guided discussion, communal events, financial literacy, academic opportunities, and more!

Our Vision

Girls Mentor Girls envisions a world where there is no glass ceiling for female identifying BIPOC youth. A world in which they are empowered, inspired to empower others, and radically transform their communities. We connect with community programs that  promote positive growth in a holistic way, giving our girls access to a variety of opportunities that support the continuity of programs upon graduation and throughout high school.
